FAQ

How much notice do I need to give to order my cake?
We do tend to book out 4-6 weeks in advance, so its best to contact us via email as soon as possible to ensure we have the date you require available. Please include Date required for collection, servings, theme/photos for inspiration, any other important details.


How much does a cake cost?

All cakes are priced differently depending on design and size. Please check out our price guide, which gives you a starting price for sizes and examples/prices of some of the cakes we have created to give you an idea. GST will be calculated on the final design of the cake. Please note that custom cakes are not cheap. Many hours of skill, time and ingredients goes into each cake we make and our prices reflect this. We pride ourselves in producing high quality cakes that both look and taste amazing.

I have a photo of the cake I want - can you replicate this?

We value the artistic and creative integrity of other cake designers not just on the coast but worldwide. We will never exactly copy or replicate the designs of other cake makers. We can use images as inspiration but the final cake will have our signature style. Many times, when we have some creative freedom to create your cake, we do our best work. Please trust in our ability and skill to create perfect cake for you. Please ensure you check out the style of cakes we make to make we are the right cake decorator for you.

 

Do you offer delivery?

Yes we do, however this is subject to availability, as we are very busy creating the cakes. We do recommend delivery for our celebration cakes for anything 2 tier+, and only offer delivery for our wedding cakes (no picks up - this is to ensure that your cake is transport, stored and set up safely and correctly - single teir cakes we can make an exception for, but please contact us first).

We service wedding venues and locations from Caloundra to Peregian Beach, Sunshine Coast Hinterland and local surrounds.

Please note that we are no longer have the capacity to deliver to the Noosa region.

Delivery fee is $50-$100 depending on the distance from our studio in Buderim.

Do you make Wedding Cakes?

Yes we do. We would love to be apart of your special day. We do simple style wedding cakes  (1-3 tiers and buttercream styles only)

Many of our wedding cakes are simple but stunning and elegant. Adorned with fresh/artificial or dried flowers* or simple decorations. Please see our gallery for examples of what we can offer. *Please see the question about- Flowers on my cake.

Do you supply the flowers for my cake?

For celebration/birthday cakes we supply all the required flower elements (these may be fresh, silk artificial and/or dried or a combination of all three depending on the colours or style we are trying to achieve - rest assure your floral arrangement will be stunning.

Wedding Cake Flowers - Please chat to use before you order your cake flowers with your florist as we do prefer to supply any cake flowers so we can assure quality and food safety (wired and taped correctly to suit your cake design). We are happy to discuss this with you in more detail upon your inquiry as some flower styles we can't source and will then require forwarding some instructions on our behalf to your bridal florist (eg leave fresh/uncut for us to personally wire and tape on site when we deliver/set up your cake - this ensures your flowers are as fresh as possible to last until the cake cutting later that evening).

 

Do you offer wedding cake / cake tastings and consults?

Yes we do cake tastings in the form of a take-away cupcake tasting box - please see our Wedding section for more information and flavours on offer.
 

Do you cater to dietary requirements?

We can cater for Gluten Free only. Please be aware we are not a certified Gluten Free kitchen. Whilst we clean all of our equipment thoroughly, trace elements of gluten may still be present. If you or your guests have coeliac disease, please make them aware of this potential risk.

We do not make dairy free, vegan or sugar free cakes.

How do I pay for my order?

For custom cake orders, once we emailed you with a price and you are happy to proceed with the order we will send you an invoice (payment can made via bank transfer or credit/debit card). A 50% deposit is required  within 3 days of invoice being issued to sure the booking date and is non-refundable. (Please read our terms and conditions at the bottom of this page). All orders must be paid in full 7 days prior to collection date for celebration cakes and 14 days for wedding cakes.

What happens if I need to cancel my order?

The more notice you can give us the better so we can assist you with postponing/canceling your order. Please read our Terms and Conditions regarding COVID and non COVID cancellations.

How do I care for my cake once It has been collected?

The cake box must be picked up from the base – do not place or press your hands into the sides of the cake box.
It is best transported on a flat level surface- such as the front/back passenger floor (never on a lap or seat) of the car. Make sure the air-con is on and your car is nice and cool. Buttercream/floral cakes need to be refrigerated and brought out 1-2 hours before cutting. Our cakes are best eaten at room temperature. Please do not sit your cake in sun or heat for long periods of time. All fondant cakes are not required to be refrigerated but kept in a cool place.

How do I book into a class?

All cake class bookings can be made via our website - under the classes tab above.

We run adult classes once a month and cover different themes/skills. Please see our schedule for up coming classes on our website so you can plan ahead. Bookings for classes open up 1-2 months in advance. These do book out quickly so we recommend following us on social media for updates.

Our kids classes run during the school holidays and book out quickly. These are usually advertise around 3-4 weeks prior to the school holidays.
